Why did you choose to get married in  Santorini, Sunset View Terrace in particular?

Santorini was Xin’s dream wedding location since she was young, she mentioned this to Chenfei during high school. Chenfei wanted to give Xin the best for their wedding. The view at Sunset View Terrace is simply stunning. The large, modern reception area and decoration were exactly what we were looking for in Santorini.

How long in advance did you book your wedding?

One and a half year.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding and how many accepted and attended?

We invited around 45 people and 37 accepted.

Xin looks gorgeous in her dress! Where was this from and how long did it take to find?

The bride’s dress was from David’s Bridal and it took around 2 months for us to select the perfect one.

What about the bride’s shoes and accessories, where were these from?

Xin’s wedding shoes were made by Manolo Blahnik and her necklace was from MIKIMOTO which is a Japanese brand. Our wedding rings were from Cartier.

The Grooms suit, where was this from?

The groom’s suit was purchased from Paul Smith.

The bridesmaids look lovely in their dresses! Where were these purchased?

The bridesmaid’s dresses were from David’s Bridal in Westfield, London.

We love Xin’s bouquet! Why did you choose blue flowers in particular?

We chose the flowers mainly in blue to match our wedding theme.

What was your wedding theme and why did you choose this?

Our wedding theme was blue because both of us like this color and we thought it would match the color in Santorini.

Did you have a cake? What menu did you choose?

We had a white church with a blue top for our cake and the main course was beef steak.

How did you find the planning experience from booking to the big day?

It was a big project, but we really enjoyed the process especially with such warm help provided by The Bridal Consultant.

What’s your best memory from the day?

Everything was perfect. We really loved the decoration at our wedding, the music and the beautiful scenery give us a special memory of the day.

How much did you spend overall on your big day? Was it on budget or over budget?

About £30,000 in total. Over budget mainly because of Brexit, but worth it overall.

What do you think makes a wedding abroad stand out from a wedding in the UK?

We have a lovely memory of our wedding abroad! We think a wedding abroad makes the start of a couple’s life more special than a local wedding.
