This morning I’m catching up with Diary of a Destination bride Louise and her hubby to be Daniel for the final time before their wedding to find out what they have left to do on the run up to their big day. Louise and Daniel say their I do’s on the 18th of June 2016 (which is less than 4 weeks away) at the beautiful Dana Villas in Santorini. We’re dying to hear what they’ve been up to….
The last time we spoke your hen parties and stag do’s were all organised! How did these go?
My bridesmaids surprised me with a fantastic weekend trip to Dubrovnik. I didn’t know anything about where we were going until we checked in at the airport. It’s a beautiful county, I’d highly recommend it.
This weekend I have my second hen party (UK this time) and then my bridal shower just before we fly out to Santorini. Fair to say this is keeping my bridesmaids very busy! Dan survived his stag trip to Cardiff and has acquired an inflatable horse outfit, which is now in our home!!
What flowers and colours have you chosen for your bouquet?
I have chosen roses in a combination of yellow and white for both my bouquet and the bridal party.
What plans do you have left to do now in the run up to your wedding day?
I am now busy finalising the last details, music playlist, cake topper, table decorations, beauty and hair appointments etc. We are also having a UK reception when we get home so I have been busy finalising the plans for this too.
What are you most looking forward to about the day and what are you most nervous about?
Other than marrying Dan, I’m really looking forward to all of our friends and family being with us on our special day, the beautiful venue and that stunning sunset.
It’s fair to say I am a planner so I’m most nervous about leaving the details in someone else’s hands, making sure I enjoy the day and am not running around looking after things.
Have you had any wedding planning disasters along the way?
Not yet but we need to get to the airport, on the right plane and to the hotel yet….. oh and not forget the dress!!!
