It’s final planning time for Lianne and Mark with just under 3 weeks to go until they tie the knot on the beautiful Greek Island of Santorini.
If you haven’t already you can read the couple’s wedding planning journey here.
Today I’m catching up with the Diary of a Destination bride to be for the final time before the couple jet off to Santorini with their closest friends and family…
With just under 3 weeks to go until the big day, is there anything you have left to do or are you all ready and set to go!?
We are pretty much done! The only thing we needed to get were the men’s shirts, we have them now so just need to get them all together to try on the whole outfit. We also need to sort our favours, but we know what we are doing and just need to get them.
What flowers and colours have you chosen for your bouquet? And what about the buttonholes?
I have chosen pale pink and white roses and hydrangeas and white peonies, the flower theme is the same for the whole wedding, this has been a very exciting thing for me to organise as I own a florist in London and have always known what I have wanted! It’s a risk letting someone else do your flowers but we have chosen the designer florist and their work looks amazing so I’m very excited to see the finished product.
What is your menu choice?
We have chosen….
Tzatziki (Yogurt, garlic and dill)
Santorinian Tomatoes Balls
Stuffed Vine leaves
Greek Salad (Tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions, peppers, caper, feta cheese, olives)
PorkSouvlaki with fried potatoes and onions
Chicken fillets in champagne and orange sauce accompanied with basmati rice
Kids main will be chicken nuggets, served with fries
Chocolate mousse with baileys
Seasonal fruit with yogurt, honey and dried nuts
Ice cream desert for kids
What are you most looking forward to about the day and what are you most nervous about?
I’m most excited about having all my friends and family around us on the big day enjoying themselves. I am also so excited to see the venue as we have taken a big risk by booking the venue before we have seen it. The pictures and videos I’ve seen are amazing.
I am most nervous about seeing if the organisation turns out how I see it in my head and if it all runs smoothly, I’m also praying that the weather is nice.
Have you had any wedding planning disasters along the way?
No touch wood we haven’t had any disasters at all and fingers crossed it will stay that way! Most of the thanks is to Lisa for taking a lot of the stress away as a lot of things are sorted for you, so far we would 100% recommend getting married abroad.
We wish Lianne and Mark all the very best for their special day and look forward to catching up with them when they are home!
